Inspired by the powerful words from the Arabic poem, "Hasn't Death Called You?", this piece softly urges us to heed the call and ready ourselves for the inevitable journey to the grave, where only our deeds accompany us.
 
The book, pen, and crumbled papers were inspired by a verse in the Quran (18:49) “And the record ˹of deeds˺ will be laid ˹open˺, and you will see the wrongdoers in fear of what is ˹written˺ in it. They will cry, “Woe to us! What kind of record is this that does not leave any sin, small or large, unlisted?” They will find whatever they did present ˹before them˺. And your Lord will never wrong anyone.”
